LISA AND SEAN – HONEYMOON FLORENCE

This time, I’m going to tell you the story of the Honeymoon Florence of Lisa and Sean Nickerson.

The Honeymoon is a photographic service which narrates a couple during her Honeymoon. Often, the couple does the service with their wedding dresses in a famous city.

Lisa and Sean come from Canada and they gift them a beautiful tour of Europe and decided to choose Florence as the city where they narrate their love.

When you take pictures of this kind of service, the city is often a strong element; to put the couple into a context gives an image in which you can relive the emotion of that place.

It’s because of this that, for this kind of service, I usually use the wide-angle lens.

In the years, I tried to use extreme lenses, I also have a 10mm, but in this last year my wedding photography is changing. I’m abandoning the extreme wide-angle lenses with their human distortions to use longer and brighter lenses to take more attention on the couple.

In this work, I mix both the styles: I took pictures with the wide-angle lens (14mm) and pictures with very long lenses.

The special relation I created with the couple allowed me to get close to them without getting them rigid. I have to say that Lisa and Sean don’t feel upset in front of a camera, they forgot my presence and create spontaneous and natural gestures. I always love when a couple forgets my presence and let their sponteneity comes out. The most beautiful smile is sponteneous and stolen by the photographer, also in a Honeymoon service like this.
