Wedding at Villa di Lilliano in Autumn

Who said that autumn isn’t an ideal season for a wedding? In recent years, the seasons have changed, and in Tuscany, October and November offer warm and rain-free days.

The atmosphere on the hills of Tuscany, especially around Villa Medicea di Lilliano, seems to warm up with the colors of its plants becoming increasingly vibrant, and the vineyards, after the grape harvest, take on an extraordinary yellow-red hue. The wonderful period of Foliage begins, making every setting extremely romantic.The perfect time to choose an ancient winery as the venue, nestled in the heart of the Chianti hills, avoiding the summer heat.

The chosen location for this romantic celebration is none other than the iconic Villa Medicea di Lilliano, a venue from whose terrace you can see the dome of Florence rising amidst the gentle Tuscan hills.

The couple got ready in the rooms of the estate and then had their first look under the cypresses that line the road in front of the villa.

They later gathered in the garden of the Villa for the ceremony, held in front of the ancient fountain.

The aperitif was served on the marvelous terrace overlooking the Tuscan hills, a unique and breathtaking view that seems to have come out of a Renaissance painting.

Nature sometimes bestows us with magical places, but with its wonder, it makes them even more extraordinary. During the aperitif, a marvelous sunset with extremely vivid colors appeared (the photos are unedited).

Truly a special spectacle for this couple who came from America to celebrate their wedding at Villa Medicea di Lilliano, one of Tuscany’s gems.

Dinner was served in the spacious hall inside the villa.
